Role

Post-Doctoral Fellow/Scientist I AAV Capsid Engineering

Tenaya Therapeutics is looking for a highly motivated scientist with expertise in AAV gene therapy, molecular biology, next generation sequencing and synthetic biology to join the gene therapy as a Scientist, AAV Capsid Engineering. In this role, the successful candidate with help design, build and screen novel AAV libraries using Tenaya Therapeutics Capsid Engineering Platform. Moreover, this role will also contribute to the characterization of lead engineered capsids. The model candidate should have experience with library design, nucleic acid isolation from animal tissue, NGS and other commonly used molecular biology techniques.

Requirements

A Ph.D. in molecular biology, or a relevant biological science

Demonstrated record of productivity in graduate studies

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Previous experience in the field of synthetic biology or AAV gene therapy preferred
