We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Assistant to join our Wandsworth team. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start or advance their career in early years. You will play a vital role in providing outstanding care, leading engaging play-based activities, and ensuring the well-being of children aged 0-5. This role is perfect for an experienced Early Years Educator.
Key Responsibilities

Support Child Development: Plan and lead engaging, play-based learning and creative activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Ensure Child Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic learning environment, ensuring the well-being of all children through constant supervision.

Provide Personal Care: Confidently assist with daily personal care routines, including meal times, nappy changes, and toilet training.

Parent Communication: Build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and daily activities.

Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues to meet the individual needs of each child and contribute to a positive team environment.

Contribute to Nursery Life: Have a meaningful impact on the lives of young children, fostering a love of learning in a fun and positive atmosphere.
Requirements and Skills

A genuine passion for childcare and working with young children.

A proactive, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.

An understanding of safeguarding and health and safety procedures.

Experience working with children in a nursery or school setting (desirable but not essential).

An understanding of child development principles and the EYFS (desirable).

A Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare Qualification (e.g., NNEB, NVQ, Cache) is advantageous, but we welcome applications from unqualified candidates willing to train.
