Description

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting and finance operations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
• Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights and support strategic decisions.
• Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks effectively.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices within the accounting and finance department.

Profile

Requirements:

Essential

· Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

· Experience in financial accounting roles within financial services, consumer lending, BNPL, or similar

· Strong understanding of loan accounting and balance sheet management

· Experience working with LMS/General Ledger systems

· Excellent Excel skills and strong attention to detail

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, change-driven environment

Desirable

· Experience supporting finance system implementations or migrations

· Understanding of Expected Credit Loss (ECL) models

· Experience working in a regulated environment
