Job Description

 JOB SUMMARY and KEY OBJECTIVES

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for protecting existing business in the region, developing new sales opportunities for cold storage products to the retail and cold storage industries. Channels include: Supermarket, Specialty Retail, C-Store Chains, Refrigeration Contractors, ARWs and Industrial Cold Storage Warehousing

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS

  • Develops and expands existing/new business opportunities within new and existing markets

  • Manage territory’s independent sales representatives, including performance reviews, establishing goals, and insuring that CrownTonka has the best representation available

  • Assist with the development of the annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives

  • Develops sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses for each product and service

  • Review and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness

  • Provides leadership and/or supports the design, development, and implementation of products and service lines

  • Meet with key customers and decision makers, assisting sales representative with maintaining customer relationships, negotiating and closing sales opportunities

  • Research and develop leads to potential customers, making regular sales calls to develop and maintain relationships and follow up on leads

  • Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner

  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of competitive activities, industry trends & government regulations

  • Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of customers and company personnel

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners

  • Ability to take ownership of the region and own the customer relationship

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION and EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA.) from four-year college or university

  • Minimum of ten years Sales Experience selling capital equipment to: Food Service, QSR, QCR, Food Retail or related Refrigeration Equipment Industries

  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus

  • Demonstrated track record of managing independent representatives and delivering new sales

  • Must already reside in a “western” state such as: California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada

  • Competent in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Possess OSHA 10 Certificate or will to take and pass the test

  • Operates with the highest level of integrity and honesty

  • Understands and practices what it takes to achieve customer intimacy

 

PHYSICAL EFFORT

 

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk intermittently for 8 hours

  • Ability to work on a PC as required

  • Ability to travel up to 75%

  • Ability to work from home office
