About the role and client:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with a solid reputation in the aerospace industry. You'll play a key role in operating and maintaining specialist equipment within a dynamic and safety-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate the Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) equipment
* Operate curing ovens using program controllers and chart recorder equipment
* Maintain accurate documentation, oven chart recorders, and work pack travellers
* Perform regular checks on plant equipment per maintenance check sheets
* Monitor calibration needs and dates for relevant equipment
* Identify and report defective equipment or tooling to supervisors
* Maintain the department and surrounding areas in line with the company's 5S programme
Candidate requirements:
* Ability to work well in multidisciplinary/cross-functional teams
* Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
* Innovative and enthusiastic approach
* Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, etc.)
* Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and multitask
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Self-motivated and well organised
