We are a fleet company looking for a Logistics Delivery Manager who will inspire the driver population to exceed expectations in the customer service they provide by demonstrating leadership and providing guidance and support. You will coordinate and manage the driver resources to achieve daily customer volumes. You will also work in collaboration with the account teams to ensure that a class-leading driver service is delivered to the client and end-users. So a typical day may involve: * Acting as the focal point for daily engagement of our driver team, providing daily direction, support and feedback * Managing the movement of vehicles to ensure they are carried out safely, within required timings and instructions * Working with the Planning Team and the Customer Care Teams to ensure any late changes or additional jobs are communicated to all teams effectively * Supporting Driver Resource planning by monitoring daily, weekly monthly activity and forecasts * Acting as a main contact point for the team and Customer Care Teams, also providing an out-of-hours contact function * Working with Customer Services Managers teams to ensure client expectations are exceeded and the service is developed * Managing attendance records, hours worked, floats, fuel cards, mobile device issues and license checking * Carrying out investigations as required for complaints, accidents, grievances disciplinary matters * Monitoring the performance of the driver team by carrying out regular reviews of working practices to then provide recommendations for improvement * Carrying out performance reviews, development planning and providing regular feedback to driver teams * Supporting with the induction of permanent, self-employed agency drivers in line with resource planning We are interested in hearing from you if: * You are able to provide shift-based office cover to ensure office manned from 05.30hrs to 20.00hrs, and provide cover at other sites as required * You have one or more years’ experience within a Supply Chain environment or Driver Logistics role as a Team Leader or training role * You have good geographical knowledge of UK * You are educated to High School / Secondary School level If you have a proven track record of achievement to match the requirements for this role and you are looking for your next career move then hit the apply button now!!
