Job Title: Freight Forwarder - Customs Clearance Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder with strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures to join a busy Manchester team. You'll play a key role in managing the end-to-end forwarding process, ensuring that shipments are moved efficiently, cost-effectively, and in full compliance with UK and international customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities
• Arrange and coordinate imports and exports by air, sea, and road.
• Complete customs clearance processes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth cargo movements.
• Prepare and check shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and packing lists.
• Provide clients with up-to-date shipment tracking and status reports.
• Handle any operational queries and resolve issues efficiently.

Requirements
• A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in freight forwarding.
• Strong working knowledge of customs clearance procedures and HMRC regulations.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good IT skills, including experience with freight software systems.
