About the role:

The Logistics and Sales Support Operative, responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective movement of goods, both in terms of delivery to customers and the reverse logistics process. 

Key duties and responsibilities are:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for customers
  • Providing customer assistance in the return of faulty and non-faulty goods.
  • Keeping our customer up to date on the latest tracking/delivery information.
  • Providing domestic and international shipping quotes to the sales and services teams as required.
  • Organising same day collections and deliveries for orders, managing the tracking of same day shipments to ensure that they arrive on time.
  • Provide order tracking details and Proof of delivery (POD) to internal and end user customers as required.
  • Liaise with our courier partners to provide swift resolutions to escalations from our internal teams and customers.
  • Make decisions around re-shipping orders to customer in the event of a delivery failure.
  • Ensuring special ‘rollout’ projects are monitored and deliveries are made on time.
  • Rectifying deliveries that are already in the logistics network.
  • Raise insurance claims with the carriers and track the claim through to completion.
  • Checking courier invoices for completeness and accuracy.
  • Issuing customer credits and returning stock back to our inventory system.
  • Cover for other team members as appropriate.

Skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Use of computerised inventory management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Understanding of the ADR/IATA guidelines for lithium ion is preferable but not essential
  • IT skills with the ability to learn new systems
  • Hard working, structured and organized approach with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Work well under pressure, alone and as part of a team
  • Accurately implement and work in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure professional standards, personal presentation and personal conduct, projecting a professional image at all times.
  • Previous experience is advantageous but not essential
