SEN Teaching Assistant - SEN School in Welwyn Garden City

Position: Full-Time Term Time Only Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and specialist SEN school in Welwyn Garden City.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with a range of needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and social/emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualised support to students with SEN in and out of the classroom

Assist with personal care, behaviour management, and emotional regulation where needed

Work collaboratively with teaching staff and therapists to deliver tailored learning

Support pupils' development both academically and socially

Requirements:

Experience working in a SEN setting or with children/young people with additional needs

A Child Workforce Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - or willingness to apply for one

A positive, patient, and resilient attitude

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
