Contract - Temp - 3-6 Months Ongoing (unless otherwise stated)

Your key responsibilities and requirements will be: 


Preparation of plans, drawing and schedule to undertake adaptations within the Disabled facilities Grant

  • Assist/lead on the disposal of Council assets in support of the Council's disposal programme
  • Assist/lead on the purchase of land and property in support of the Council's various acquisition programmes, including the negotiation and settlement of CPO claims
  • Provide valuation advice on disposals and/or acquisition related matters and in support of the Council's asset valuation programme
  • Provide property support to the Council's Development Team on large scale regeneration projects
  • Assist in the development and implement of the Authority's Asset management Plan including the city's medium term disposal programme
  • Assist in the management and monitoring of the Council's disposal and acquisition programmes
  • Provide support and assistance to other property and resource related strategies and initiatives, as required
  • Ensure work is planned, developed and co-ordinated to meet aims and objectives
  • Ensure effective communication within the team and with the management and partners
  • Ensure that all services are carried out in a timely, accurate and efficient manner, leading to the achievement of the Service targets
  • To operate in accordance with objectives, targets and timescales required undertaking duties in accordance with regard to qualifications and experience
  • Observe the City Council's Health & Safety Policy and ensuring that the working environment and practices are free from any undue hazards and dangers
  • Promotion of the Service by way of presentations, written and visual material and any other appropriate means.  To attend meetings, Committees, exhibitions etc when required as a representative for the Service
  • To participate in all aspects of training and development of staff. Use all learning opportunities to develop personal skills necessary to improve effectiveness, efficiency and delivery of service in recognition of the Portfolio's business and service targets

  • Membership of a relevant institution
  • Degree or formal qualification in a relevant discipline
  • At least 3 - 5 years experience in relevant discipline
  • Experience in working in a value for money environment
  • Experience of working in asset management planning
  • Technical experience in a relevant discipline
  • Experience of working with partners
  • Experience of working in a quality assured environment
