Cut and Crease Machine Operator

Due to continued growth and success, my client is on the lookout for a Cut and Crease 1st Minder to join their team. My client is one of the market leaders within packaging and have multiple sites in the UK.

You will work 3 12 hour shifts a week, with a mixture of days and nights.

The Role

Work as part of a team and maintain a flexible approach to the requirements of the business.
To set and run all die cutting presses within the department.
To understand working instructions and correctly interpret them.
Adopt best practise and share knowledge within the team.
Optimising all aspects of machine performance whilst maintaining quality standards.
Carry out first off pass and all relevant checks and maintain quality standards throughout the run.
Undertake all duties in accordance with current SOP's and quality policies.
Carry out routine maintenance tasks as outlined in the Asset Care Program.
Engagement with the 5's program and continuous improvement requirements of the business.
Provide cover within the department for holiday's, absence and peak demand.
Transfer of work into and out of the department.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
Flexible to assist in other areas of the business where suitable training has been provided. 

The Person

Minimum of 3 years' experience operating a Bobst die cutting and creasing machine
Quality conscious
Computer literate
Good level of communication
Interpersonal and organisational skills
Self-control and motivation
Ability to work within a team

Concern for standards
