The Role

We are recruiting for a planning engineer on behalf of a leading industrial contractor for a large-scale project at Shotton Paper Mill. This site-based role requires a skilled professional with experience in project scheduling, progress tracking, and performance analysis within industrial MEP projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planning engineer to contribute to a high-profile industrial project, ensuring efficient project execution and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

* Developing and maintaining the project work program in Primavera P6 in coordination with relevant departments.

* Assigning resources to the schedule in line with project estimates.

* Continuously updating and maintaining the project schedule to reflect actual progress.

* Monitoring progress against the work schedule, identifying deviations, and recommending corrective actions.

* Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports in line with the project reporting timetable.

* Evaluating subcontractor progress payments by cross-checking with productivity and stock status reports.

* Calculating and reporting key project schedule performance metrics.

* Planning project personnel requirements in collaboration with project management.

* Supporting change management processes and contributing to claim evaluations.

* Conducting delay analysis and providing recommendations to mitigate risks.

* Analyzing project data and ensuring timely communication of performance insights to stakeholders.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in engineering.

* Minimum of 5 years of MEP planning experience in industrial projects.

* Strong understanding of project lifecycles, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

* Proficiency in Primavera P6.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

* Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

* Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
