We're now looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our busy and friendly Transactional Finance team based in Preston. If you're accurate, organised and looking to develop your finance career in a supportive environment, this role could be a great next step.
The Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you'll help ensure More2Life's financial transactions are processed accurately and on time. You'll be involved in daily reconciliations, data checking, and working with both internal teams and external funders.
This role is perfect for someone with existing finance experience or someone studying AAT/CIMA who wants to grow in a fast‑paced financial services environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Processing system‑generated financial files
- Monitoring fund requests and reconciling facility balances
- Preparing and sending daily bank reconciliations
- Liaising with external funders to support contractual requirements
- Posting financial transactions across multiple companies
- Producing broker commission payments and statements
- Supporting and improving financial controls
- Performing reconciliations and data analysis
- Helping develop new processes and procedures when needed
What We're Looking For
- Experience using computerised accounting systems
- Experience posting to Nominal, Sales and Purchase ledgers
- Understanding of P&L and balance sheet statements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confidence working with deadlines and high‑volume tasks
- Good Microsoft Office experience (especially Excel)
- Working towards or interested in AAT/CIMA
- Great attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
