Closing date: 6 November 2020

Are you ambitious and driven to succeed?
Are you passionate about Maths?
If so, this is the school for you.
At the QKA Maths department our client's vision is: 'For their students they seek to be the best.'
It is with their vision in mind and their culture of success, positivity and belonging that they are looking to appoint a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic teacher to join their established and flourishing maths department. This role will predominantly work with post-16 students who are resitting their GCSEs as a result of school closures.
Their students are at the heart of everything they do, and by constantly seeking to be the best, they are confident that they are making a difference to student's lives, through the opportunities they are giving them in lessons. The trust want their students to leave this academy remembering their maths lessons.
The department is well resourced and led by committed practitioners, who are focussed on continuing the process of raising standards and expectations in their department and beyond. The last two years have seen a pleasing increase in their GCSE grades and standards with huge gains in progress and attainment. Their students achieving the top grades in GCSE maths has tripled compared to the previous exam season, and the progress made by students improved significantly this year.
They have begun to embed their improved success at KS4 in KS3. This year they have implemented a new KS3 curriculum, in order to ensure that students are more prepared for the rigorous demands of the current GCSE; particularly with regard to problem solving and reasoning.
With their progress and attainment improving, they are looking to maintain this accelerated progress with a new addition to our department.
They want the department to expand; and are aiming to increase sixth form numbers for A-level and AS-Level Maths and have introduced Core Maths to the curriculum for KS5 from September 2020. At GCSE they hope to introduce GCSE Statistics as an option, to provide more opportunities for our more able maths students.
It is truly exciting times for the department, and they are looking to welcome another colleague to join this highly driven and successful department, who will buy into their vision and culture.
