Long Term Futures are working with a well-established and inclusive secondary school in Tower Hamlets to appoint a dedicated Pastoral Mentor to join their team immediately.

The school has a strong pastoral and safeguarding infrastructure, with a focus on restorative approaches and early intervention for students who require additional emotional and behavioural support. You will be working closely with students across Key Stage 3 and 4 who may be experiencing SEMH challenges, disengagement, or barriers to learning.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about student wellbeing and behaviour support, looking to progress within a pastoral or inclusion-based career.

Key Responsibilities:* Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring for students with SEMH and behavioural needs* Support with behaviour across lessons, corridors, and unstructured times during the day* Assist with reintegration of students following incidents, exclusions or absences* Monitor attendance, punctuality, and emotional wellbeing* Liaise with Heads of Year, safeguarding leads, and families* Contribute to planning and delivery of pastoral interventions and wellbeing programmes

Ideal Candidate Will Have:* Experience supporting young people in a pastoral, mentoring or behavioural role* A calm, confident and consistent approach to behaviour support* Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust with students and families* An understanding of trauma-informed and restorative practices* A background in secondary schools, PRU, SEMH or youth work is highly desirable
