Purpose of the role   

We're looking for an experienced Head of Global Trade Compliance who will be responsible for leading IQE's global compliance with international export controls and trade compliance.

You'll provide a high level of expertise in the area of global trade compliance and will also have demonstrable experience in international export controls. You will be used to liaising and influencing senior stakeholders.

You'll report to our General Counsel & Company Secretary and work closely with senior management and IQE's Executive Management Board.

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership in all areas of international trade compliance, with a focus on US and UK export controls

Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of IQE's international trade compliance

Ensure IQE's compliance with applicable international export controls

Responsible for the development of training for IQE's business units and commercial and technology teams

Support and guide the commercial team with the day-to-day administration of IQE's export controls compliance

Define and execute an annual training schedule for employees, as needed

As IQE's business grows, develop and lead a world-class trade compliance team

Qualifications / Essential Skills

Experience in US and UK export controls with experience in semiconductor industry

Experience in a technology-driven business and with issues surrounding technology would be beneficial

Prior experience in dealing with international trade compliance
