Job Title: Head of Mobilisation

Reporting to Projects Director

Based South East - Mobile position

Job objectives and responsibilities

To programme manage Mobilisation's, Transition's, Demobilisation's and Service Improvement activities across the Engineering Services business.

Day to Day Management of the Mobilisation team resources to support the Project/Business Workload.

Manage Key relationships with Clients, internal stakeholders and programme leads.

Main duties

* Provide support to the Sales team to fully understand requirements and timescales for Mobilisations, Transitions and Transformations.

* Manage the Mobilisation team resources and performance on a 'day to day' basis

* Develop the existing skills and experience of the Mobilisation team.

* Track key performance criteria and costs for all projects as per the Project disciples and business requirements.

* Ensure all Mobilisation related activities are compliant against business processes.

* Support and encourage the business objectives and a 'one team' culture - communicate objectives, and act as single point of contact to stakeholders (both internal and external).

* Understand client needs and ensure solutions are appropriate.

* Help Workstream Leads understand and meet expectations and standards within projects e.g. comms, time, risks, reporting, processes etc.

* Continuous improvement of the projects processes.

* Ensure parity with internal business improvement and customer plans and programmes.

* Support the implementation of all joined up businessactivities.

* Collation and creation of reporting within specified parameters, maintaining a smooth transition and handover at end of the project.

* Liaison with other key suppliers and any other bodies as appropriate.

Person specification

Essential competencies

* Highly organised individual.

* Have a proven track record/experience of Programme and Resource Management

* General understanding/familiarisation on the tendering process and associated activities.

* Excellent oral and written English.

* Experience in writing production of reports/proposals and Project Plans.

* Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with wide range of people. Including management of meetings and conference/Skype calls.

* Team working essential.

* Experience of working to tight and strict deadlines.

* To remain calm under pressure.

* Be flexible for occasional late working and travel.

Desirable competencies

* MS package including Projects experience.

* Presentation skills.

* Have a good understanding of the business and structure.

* Understanding of sales and operations delivery processes
