Family Solicitor – Barnsley

£35,000 – £55,000+ (DOE)

A well-regarded South Yorkshire firm is looking for an experienced Family Solicitor to join its Barnsley office. This is a great opportunity to take on a varied caseload within a supportive, close-knit team that values empathy, professionalism and long-term relationships.

You'll step into an established department with strong local ties and a consistent flow of new instructions – with the added benefit of hybrid working once you're settled in.

The Role:

• Managing a caseload of family law matters, including:
  • Divorce and financial remedy
  • Private and public children matters
  • Domestic abuse and injunctions
  • Cohabitation and separation agreements
• Preparing court documents, conducting advocacy where appropriate and liaising with clients throughout
• Legal Aid experience preferred but not essential

About You:

• You may be a Solicitor, Legal Executive, or experienced Family Fee Earner
• Confident handling a mixed caseload independently
• Approachable and sensitive to clients' needs during challenging times
• Comfortable working in a high street or community-focused firm
