We’re partnering with a fast-growing financial planning firm in Liverpool to find an experienced, highly qualified Senior Paraplanner. This is a unique opportunity to join a firm undergoing significant growth, with a strong pipeline of new clients and a clear commitment to delivering high-quality, client-focused financial advice.

This role offers a blend of technical challenge, professional autonomy, and long-term career development. If you're seeking a role where your analytical skills, judgement, and precision are valued—and where your work contributes meaningfully to client outcomes—this could be the right move.

What’s on Offer
  • Salary up to £60,000, depending on experience and qualifications

  • Hybrid working model (Liverpool office)

  • Strong emphasis on continuous professional development

  • Work alongside experienced advisers in a collaborative, high-integrity team

  • Exposure to varied and complex financial planning cases

The Role

As a Senior Paraplanner, you’ll be a key contributor to the advice process. Working closely with advisers and client-facing paraplanners, you’ll take ownership of technical analysis, research, report writing, and strategic case design. You’ll be expected to challenge assumptions, stress-test recommendations, and ensure each plan is technically robust, compliant, and client-centred.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technically focused environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work that supports the firm’s planning ethos and high standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Interpret fact-finds, cashflow models, and adviser notes to identify planning opportunities

  • Conduct in-depth technical analysis across pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning

  • Lead the drafting of suitability reports, both initial and ongoing

  • Liaise with internal teams to progress and implement advice recommendations

  • Prepare technical summaries, investment comparisons, and recommendation matrices

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory, tax, and product changes

  • Contribute to maintaining a high standard of advice quality and compliance

What We’re Looking For
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (minimum); working toward Chartered status preferred

  • Proven experience in a senior paraplanning or technical role within a regulated financial planning environment

  • Advanced knowledge of investment strategies, pension planning, protection, and taxation

  • Strong report-writing skills and a methodical, detail-oriented approach

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of cases and drive them through to completion

  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with advisers and wider support teams

Ideal Attributes
  • Analytical thinker who enjoys solving complex planning scenarios

  • High personal standards for accuracy and clarity in written communication

  • Confident challenging inconsistencies and raising technical concerns

  • Sees suitability reports as a valuable tool for client understanding, not just a compliance requirement

  • Committed to ongoing professional growth and maintaining technical excellence

This is a long-term career opportunity within a respected and ambitious firm. If you’re a technically-minded paraplanner looking to deepen your expertise, work on meaningful cases, and contribute to a growing, values-led business—this role offers the platform to do just that.
