Experienced Social Worker - Children's Social Work Teams - Medway CouncilUp to £45,829 + £5,500 Market Premia + £3,000 Annual Retention Payment

We're working with Medway Council to recruit an Experienced Social Worker to join their Children's Social Work Teams (CSWT). This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a strengths-based, relationship-focused service that uses the Signs of Safety model to deliver better outcomes for children and families.

About the Role:As an Experienced Social Worker, you'll manage a varied caseload of children in need and child protection, carrying out focused assessments and creating SMART plans that lead to meaningful, sustained change. You'll work directly with children and families to understand their lived experiences, using a range of communication tools and models. Where necessary, you'll initiate and manage legal proceedings. You'll be confident using the Signs of Safety framework throughout all aspects of your practice.

About You:

  • Qualified Social Worker with registration to Social Work England

  • Successfully completed your ASYE with at least 2 years' post-qualified experience

  • Experience in statutory children's services, particularly child protection and court work

  • Confident working with children through direct work

  • Strong understanding of legislation, statutory guidance and evidence-based practice

  • Skilled in producing clear, analytical assessments and reports

  • Able to manage a complex caseload under pressure
