Their site in Southampton is on an easy to reach industrial park with easily accessible routes from Portsmouth, Southampton and surrounding areas. Built in 2017, the modern unit boasts exceptional staffing facilities, with free on site parking, on site showers, full kitchen and canteen area with free hot and cold drinks, along with vending machines that offer discounted sandwiches, baguettes and pastries! There is also a flat screen television and a football table for you to enjoy whilst you are on a break. A small library and quiet room can also be found tucked around the corner for you to take advantage of.

As a Machine Operator, your role will predominantly be to sort and check through the picked lenses against the correct packaging documentation. As with any kind of technology, there can be faults and minor issues with these machines so you are required to fault find and fix when required. This role also includes lifting of up to 13KG and pushing cages of around 120KG. You will be operating on PLC's and machine panels, as well as using high volume machines to feed the lenses for labelling and cartoning. This role does require prolonged standing and can be physically demanding.

You will benefit from 35 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) and will be paid at an hourly rate of the below

Double day shift (Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm on rotating basis) = £11.72 per hour
