Our client in near Matlock are on the lookout for a mechanical engineer. The role is working shifts consisting of 12 hour days and nights. (44 hours per week on adv)

The Person

* An apprentice trained maintenance engineer with experience of working in a medium to heavy engineering environment.

* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical engineering

* Willingness to work overtime and differing shifts pattern

* Able to read mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic engineering drawings

* Basic fabrication experience

* Good problem-solving and organisation skills

* Worked in a medium to heavy engineering/manufacturing environment.

The role

* Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance duties on a variety of machinery and equipment.

* Continual improvement

* Ensure all PPM tasks are completed on time and to the required standards.

* Identify true cause of failures and report corrective action necessary.

* Ensure all departmental documentation is completed on time and to company standards.

* Develop the PPM system
