Field Service Engineer (Mechanically Biased).

Staffordshire.

c£35,000 (OTE c£40,000 - £45,000).

Package - Overtime (1.5x Mon - Sat / 2x Sun) + Company Vehicle (Van) + Full Fuel & Overnight Expenses + Excellent Pension + Life Assurance + Healthcare + 33 Days Holiday + Full Machinery Specific Training.

Monday - Friday: 37.5 hours per week.

Owing to significant demand for their machinery and additional contracts recently being secured, a market leading engineering business are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their experienced team. With multiple sites on a worldwide basis and fantastic UK growth plans, this business is offering a fantastic technically challenging role, significant training, and furthermore secure career path for a Mechanically minded Engineer.

You may already be working in a Field Service Engineering capacity and are looking for a fresh challenge or are a static Industrial Maintenance Engineer looking for your first 'on the road' role, both backgrounds are of interest to this business. Full 'machinery specific' training is provided, allowing significant routes for skill development and technical advancement.

If you are excited by working on highly automated machinery within diverse fast paced environments and have a strong mechanically biased engineering background, this could be the role for you!

The ideal Engineer will be based within a 40-mile radius of Staffordshire.

Role Description.

* Carrying out installations, servicing, repairs, and commissioning of equipment on customer manufacturing sites on a UK wide basis.

* Utilising predominantly mechanical fault-finding skills (occasionally electrical) to perform corrective maintenance of equipment.

* Performing Planned engineering work on client sites (most of the jobs are of a planned / structured nature so no travelling at the drop of a hat).

* Liaising with customers and using effective time management skills to ensure the work is carried out within agreed time frames.

* Consulting with the service manager on technical issues and working out a solution.

* Home based and travelling on a UK wide basis (average of 4-6 weeks of staying away per year).

* Working alongside a team of UK based service engineers.

Skills & Experience.

* Field Service Engineering or Maintenance Engineering background.

* Mechanically Biased Engineering experience (with basic electrical skills).

* Level 3+ qualification in mechanical engineering.

* Experience in Industrial Manufacturing / Engineering or RAF / Navy / REME.

* Willingness to learn and be trained on bespoke, technical machinery.

* Willing to travel / stay away when required (average of 4-6 weeks away per annum).

* Strong communication skills, with an energetic approach.

* A full UK driving license.
