Finance Business Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Finance Business Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring financial accuracy, robust reconciliations, and high-quality financial reporting. You will be part of a team of 4, reporting directly to the Financial Controller, and supporting the Associate Director in maintaining balance sheet integrity and executing critical financial processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Undertake financial forecasting and report business and operational metrics monitoring across the Group's entities in the UK and overseas offices.
- Create financial models focused on revenue generation to support key business decision-makers.
- Analyse financial results, perform variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and other targets, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, quarterly summaries, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to increase productivity through automation and the development of financial reports and evaluation metrics.
- Work closely with the Financial Controller to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Newly qualified with post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Strong experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting standards, governance, and audit processes.
- Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience in a structured, governance-focused finance environment with strong financial analysis capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to present detailed financial information clearly.
- Strong technical skills, including advanced competency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
