OverviewAn award-winning, client-centric Wealth Management firm in Sussex is seeking an experienced Financial Planner to take ownership of an established portfolio of c.60 HNW clients. This is a rare opportunity to step into a profitable, loyal book with an average client net worth of approximately £1M, supported by a strong technical and administrative team.
The firm is known for its holistic planning approach, exceptional client service, and long-standing relationships across the region. You’ll inherit warm, engaged clients and play a key role in guiding them through retirement planning, investment strategy, IHT planning, and wider financial planning needs.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and service an existing book of ~60 HNW clients, maintaining and deepening long-term relationships.
- Deliver comprehensive financial planning covering pensions, investments, tax-efficient strategies, protection, and estate planning.
- Conduct regular client reviews, ensuring ongoing suitability and outstanding service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with in-house Paraplanners and Administrators to ensure plans and reports are produced to a high standard.
- Identify opportunities to enhance client outcomes and responsibly grow the book through organic referrals.
- Stay up to date with regulatory requirements (FCA) and maintain the highest ethical standards.
Requirements- Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Chartered status desirable).
- Proven experience as a Financial Planner/IFA managing HNW or affluent clients.
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and tax planning.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with a client-first mindset.
- Confident communicator able to articulate complex financial information clearly.
- Ambitious, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional client outcomes.
