Principal Engineer - Contract - EC&I - Staffordshire - Outside IR35 - 6-month contract - £500-£585/day - Hybrid

+++Must have a British passport for security clearance+++Principal or Lead Engineers applying for the role can not hold dual nationality+++

Key aspects of the Principal Engineer role include -

* Take charge of and lead project teams delivering electrical control systems, industrial software and electrical safety systems to customers in the defence sector

* Have first class stakeholder engagement and management skills

* Current SC level security clearance would be an advantage but isn't essential

* Principal Engineer will initiate, oversee and lead all engineering activities on a project or group of projects

* Knowledge of working to ISO 9001 standards is key

* Oversee the activities of the team and help overcome problems by providing guidance

* You'll need to be a British passport holder and have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years, as you'll be put through security clearance if you haven't already got it.

* Be comfortable working in the defence sector

* The management team encourages a sensible work-life balance which encourages everyone to leave the office by 4.30pm daily and have 30 days holiday per year, as well as the statutory Bank Holidays

* Role will initially be based from the Stafford office (3 days per week) and home (2 days per week) with occasional day trips to customer sites

The clients' offices are easily commutable from Stoke, Stafford, Cannock, Lichfield, Telford, Uttoxeter, Stone.
