OFSTED Registered Manager
  • Location: Hayes
  • Salary: Circa £54,000 per annum depending upon qualification and experience
  • Job Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

REED are seeking an OFSTED Registered Manager to lead the management and operational delivery of a Children’s Home. This pivotal role involves overseeing the implementation of standards required by OFSTED, managing the home through inspections, and ensuring the provision of person-centred support to young people with EBD and complex needs.

We are also open to deputy managers that are ready to take the next step.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Ensure the Children's Home meets required inspection standards under OFSTED and complies with the Children’s Homes Regulations (2015).
  • Achieve positive outcomes through the delivery of high-quality support and ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
  • Manage and coordinate the operational needs of the home, ensuring a safe, homely, and welcoming environment.
  • Oversee the health and safety of the home, ensuring all children and young people have comprehensive and regularly reviewed Person-Centred Plans.
  • Facilitate effective communication and cooperation within the team and with external professionals to review and plan residential services.
  • Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead, maintaining vigilance over the well-being of children and young people.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent, and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Health and Social Care.
  • Willingness to register as a manager with OFSTED.
  • Proficient in numeracy/literacy skills equivalent to Level 3 or above in English and Maths.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations (2015) and experience at a senior level working with children or adults with EBD.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people and manage workload efficiently.
