Full-Time Teacher of Art Required - Outstanding Barking School (September 2025 Start)

Our Outstanding school in the vibrant borough of Barking, London, seeks a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Teacher of Art to join our thriving Arts department from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to focus your passion for art within a full-time role in a high-achieving school serving the Barking community.

Key Responsibilities Include:

* Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and effective Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially 5, in our Barking school.

* Fostering students' creativity, visual literacy, and critical thinking skills through art within the Barking context.

* Contributing to the school's extracurricular art provision and exhibitions in Barking.

* Collaborating effectively with colleagues within the Arts department in Barking.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* A degree in Art, Fine Art, or a related field.

* Successful experience teaching Art across Key Stages 3 and 4, with experience in Key Stage 5 being advantageous.

* A passion for visual arts and the ability to inspire students in Barking.

* Strong subject knowledge across a range of artistic disciplines.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with an understanding of the local Barking community being beneficial.
