School Office Manager
Location: Ponteland, Northumberland
Pay: £15,069 - £16,611
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: NVQ Level 4.
Contract Dates: September 2020 - August 2021
Vision for Education is looking to appoint a School Office Manager to join our successful supply team and to work in a local primary school in the Ponteland area. This role will begin as soon as possible on a full-time basis (32.5 hours), and will turn permanent for the right candidate.
The desired School Office Manager will have prior knowledge and experience working within a school office. An administration qualification (Level 4) with knowledge of using SIMS/ORACLE would also be of an advantage. Pre-employment checks including an enhanced DBS disclosure will be carried out in relation to successful candidates, and two satisfactory employment references will also be required.
This smaller than average sized Primary school is looking for a committed and successful School Office Manager to join their motivated team. The school is an integral part of the local community with a strong dedicated team of staff, parents and governors and as such, they are seeking someone who can demonstrate a commitment to working in close partnership with parents and carers.

This is a key role providing support to the Headteacher, colleagues, parents and pupils. The nature of the role is diverse and requires a self-starting, experienced administrator who is able to manage a varied and challenging workload. Maintaining a welcoming reception to the school for all pupils and visitors is key and the successful candidate will have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
To be considered for the School Office Manager position, you will need:
- Effective use of specialist ICT packages e.g. SIMS, ORACLE
- Experience of using specialist equipment and resources
- Full working knowledge of all relevant policies/cods of practice and legislation
- Ability to relate to both adults and children
- Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek out learning opportunities
