HR Manager (Part-Time – 4 Days, 25–30 Hours)
Near High Wycombe | Up to £50,000 FTE (Pro Rata)
My client is a leading manufacturer with a state-of-the-art facility near High Wycombe. With continued growth and a strong reputation for designing, manufacturing, and sourcing high-quality products globally, they are now seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead their HR function.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional looking for autonomy and the chance to shape and embed HR structure, policy, and best practice across the site.
The Role
Reporting to their Managing Director, you will take full ownership of the HR function, ensuring effective policies, compliance, and people processes are in place to support operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and update HR policies in line with employment legislation and company requirements
- Act as the central point of control for HR standards and compliance
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of hourly and salaried employees
- Manage employee relations matters, including investigations and disciplinary processes within a unionised environment
- Identify and coordinate training and workforce development needs across production and support teams
- Maintain accurate HR records, reporting, and job descriptions
- Oversee benefits administration, including medical insurance and life assurance schemes
About You
- 5–8 years’ generalist HR experience
- Strong manufacturing background
- Experience within a unionised environment
- Solid knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Confident, pragmatic, and able to operate independently
