We are looking for a skilled and experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant primary school located in Islington, London. This is a long-term, full-time role starting ASAP.

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a regular classroom setting. You will collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement interventions that cater to the individual needs of the students. Your role will also include evaluating and tracking the progress of students with ASD, and helping to establish a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.

To be considered for this role, you must have experience working with children who have ASD or similar conditions. A deep understanding of the curriculum and various teaching techniques is crucial. You should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a team. A genuine passion for education and making a positive impact on the lives of children is also essential.

The rate for this position is between £80 and £100 per day depending on experience.
