A highly ranked school based in the heart of Essex is seeking to appoint a motivated, knowledgeable, and passionate Business Studies Teacher to join our thriving and forward-thinking department. The Role

The successful person will be responsible for teaching Business Studies at Key-Stage 4 delivering engaging and challenging lessons that promote curiosity, independence, and academic success. You will play an active role in curriculum planning and contribute to the continued development of the subject area.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering well-structured, high-quality lessons in line with examination specifications

Teaching a range of business topics, including finance, marketing, operations, and entrepreneurship

Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress using effective assessment strategies

Providing targeted support and intervention to ensure all students make strong progress

Maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour and student engagement

Contributing to curriculum review and development to ensure it remains relevant and ambitious

Supporting enrichment opportunities such as enterprise projects, guest speakers, and trips

Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and resources

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who is:

A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent)

A strong subject specialist with up-to-date knowledge of Business Studies curricula

Passionate about teaching and learning, with the ability to inspire and motivate students

Committed to inclusive teaching and able to meet the needs of learners of all abilities

An effective communicator with strong organisational and classroom management skills

Willing to contribute positively to the wider life of the school
