The Role:
The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) is seeking a proactive and technically confident IT & Digital Services Support Officer to ensure the secure and smooth running of IT, technology, and digital services across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a professional membership body that supports aerospace professionals and enthusiasts around the world.
You will play a key role in liaising with external IT partners and internal teams to deliver high-quality operational and technical support. From managing hardware and software provision to supporting cyber security, CRM, and digital infrastructure, your contribution will enable staff to work efficiently and effectively in both office and remote environments.
Key Objectives:
- Provide IT onboarding and support for new and existing staff, including account setup, licensing, and device allocation
- Coordinate with external IT support partners for device configuration, support escalation, and system maintenance
- Oversee procurement and distribution of IT hardware and equipment for hybrid working
- Act as a key liaison for IT software and service providers including cyber security, CRM systems, website, and infrastructure
- Support the Society's adherence to Cyber Essentials Plus certification and cyber security best practices
- Assist with the review, implementation, and communication of IT and Security policies
- Provide training and technical support for hybrid meetings and other office equipment
- Maintain accurate records for asset management
- Support the CRM & Data Product Owner in ensuring the CRM is well-utilised to support team and organisational objectives
Essential Criteria:
- Education to Level 3 or equivalent (A-level or vocational qualifications)
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Confidence liaising with both technical partners and internal stakeholders
- Experience managing IT hardware and software provisioning
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and database systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours support
Desirable:
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Umbraco CMS
- Previous experience in a membership organisation or with volunteers
- Data analysis and supplier negotiation skills

Salary: £30K to £33K DOE pro rata
Location: London Office & some Hybrid working
Hours: Part Time (21 hrs p/wk) 1 Day in our London Office
Holiday: 33 Days, inc. BH pro rata
