Your next teaching role could be closer than you think.
We’re working with a number of welcoming primary schools across Redbridge who are looking for a passionate Year 2 Teacher ready to bring learning to life, build confidence, and support pupils as they reach the end of Key Stage 1.
Year 2 is such an important stage, it’s where key skills are embedded, independence grows, and pupils prepare for their next step into KS2. You’ll play a vital role in strengthening literacy and numeracy, all within a team that values creativity, consistency, and genuine care.
If you love seeing those “lightbulb moments” and want to be part of a school that truly supports its staff, this could be a brilliant next step.

• Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons tailored to Year 2 pupils, in line with the National Curriculum
• Supporting pupils as they build independence and confidence in their learning
• Strengthening pupils’ reading, writing, and maths skills to support their transition into KS2
• Creating a structured, positive classroom environment where every child feels supported and motivated
• Adapting teaching to meet the needs of SEND and EAL learners, ensuring every child can access the curriculum
• Managing behaviour through clear routines, consistency, and positive reinforcement
• Working closely with TAs, parents, and senior leaders to support each child’s development
• Playing an active role in the wider school community and upholding safeguarding at all times
