Job Title: Part-Time Quantity Surveyor (QS).
Location: Herefordshire.
Hours: 2-3 days per week (with potential for additional days depending on project workload).

The Opportunity
A small, well-established regional contractor with a strong and growing order book is seeking a Part-Time Quantity Surveyor to support a range of interesting commercial developments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a settled, supportive team with consistent project flow and the flexibility to scale your involvement as required.

The Role
You will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring effective cost control and financial management from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

* Preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports

* Managing project costs and cash flow

* Valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts

* Variations and change management

* Subcontractor procurement and account management

* Contract administration and commercial reporting

* Working closely with project teams to drive financial performance

About You

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, ideally on commercial projects

* Strong understanding of contracts and cost management

* Able to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively

* Good communication and negotiation skills

* Comfortable working in a flexible, part-time capacity
