PK Education are currently recruiting for a passionate and driven Employer Engagement Tutor to work within a SEN setting in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by helping young people develop the skills and confidence they need to transition into the world of work.

About the Role

As an Employer Engagement Tutor, you will play a vital role in bridging the gap between education and employment. You will work closely with students, staff, and local employers to create meaningful career-related opportunities and experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers and industry partners
Organise and coordinate work placements, internships, and employer-led activities
Support students in developing employability skills, including CV writing and interview preparation
Deliver engaging sessions that connect learning to real-world career pathways
Collaborate with school staff to embed careers education across the curriculum
Track, monitor, and evaluate student progress within work-related learning programmes

About You

Passionate about supporting young people into employment
Excellent communication and networking skills
Experience in employer engagement, education, or careers guidance (desirable)
Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
Strong understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to student wellbeing
