Fabric Technician

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Fabric Technician to join a large, global Facilities Management provider delivering maintenance services across a site in Hampshire. This is a permanent opportunity offering a salary of £32,000 per year, working as part of a professional on-site maintenance team responsible for the upkeep and repair of building fabric and associated facilities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard through planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works, supporting the overall reliability, safety, and appearance of the building.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks on building fabric elements.
- Undertake reactive maintenance and repairs including doors, flooring, ceilings, partitions, fixtures, and fittings.
- Complete basic carpentry, painting & decorating, and minor building repairs.
- Inspect and maintain internal and external building fabric to ensure a safe and well-presented environment.
- Support the wider maintenance team with general building upkeep and minor works.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in line with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Accurately record works completed using the company's maintenance management system.
- Identify and report any potential issues or improvement opportunities within the building fabric.

Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Fabric Technician, Building Maintenance Technician, or similar role within facilities management or building maintenance.
- Strong practical knowledge of general building fabric maintenance.
- Experience with PPM schedules and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Good all-round maintenance skills including carpentry and general repairs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
