We’re looking for a marketing pro to bring strong vision and passion to our team. Woodstock’s is the second largest independent pizzeria company in the nation, with sales of over $18 million annually. We have been serving legendary pizzas, brews and good times for nearly 40 years. We are looking for someone to take us to the next level who can build on our reputation and bring a fresh relevance to today’s college and community markets. Is this you? If so, you will oversee all aspects of marketing, including research and analysis, planning, budgeting, pricing, new product launches, promotions, advertising (especially with digital media), social media and online presence, business development, publicity and corporate communications. Best yet you can be an owner of the company As one of our top managers, you’ll have the opportunity to own stock in our privately-held company. You will work with a team that includes: Our Business Development Manager Our Senior Marketing Manager Marketing Representatives in each of our stores Our Operations teams at both the administrative and store levels Accounting and IT professionals in the Admin office Contracted services for graphic design, public relations, SEO, online analytics, etc. You will work in our San Diego/Pacific Beach Admin office and report to the COO. We are looking for you to take a “big picture” perspective and distill it into actionable steps to accomplish long-term profitability objectives. This is a small company that requires a hands-on approach to these professional responsibilities. You’ll be juggling multiple priorities and responsibilities and maintain a sense of vision. You will be creative, energetic, enthusiastic, continually learning, and capable of foresight. But we also need you to create detailed plans, hold people accountable, organize systems for efficiency and success, and carry projects through to successful completion. Job Requirements: Excellent communication skills Demonstrated management responsibilities for multiple subordinate employees At least a BA in Marketing from an accredited university. (An MBA is a definite plus.) A track record of organization and planning that has resulted in sales increases At least 5 years of increasingly professional marketing responsibilities A strong background in digital media Outstanding professional references A high tolerance for a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. A willingness to learn whatever it takes, and do whatever it takes, to be part of our team. That might mean occasionally making pizzas, cleaning a dining room, handling a customer complaint, or pouring beers. A great sense of humor. The ability to travel to our restaurants throughout the state (from Chico to San Diego) at least quarterly. A passion for Woodstock’s Pizza.
