University graduates required

Gain experience within a large secondary school, prior to taking on or completing a teacher training course.

If you have just graduated and are looking for a future career in teaching this may be the perfect role for you.

The incoming candidate will be expected to support teachers inside and outside the classroom and will be working with pupils across Key stage 3 and GCSE with multiple sunjects. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to cover classes in the absence of the teacher where all work will be pre-planned. This is a great opportunity for candidates considering a career in teaching.

The successful candidate will also be expected to pick up a number of lessons of general cover, alongside timetabled lessons if they have a relevant degree tat is subject specific.

Applications are urged from candidates with experience transferrable to working within secondary schools. Any experience with children and young people aged 11-16 is desirable however, not essential.


  • Degree or higher
  • DBS certification or willing to obtain one 


  • Assisting the class teacher 
  • Working with small groups of pupils 
  • Ensuring the safety and support of the pupils in your care 
  • Widen own personal subject knowledge
