The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well‑known logistics client based in Clitheroe. This role is ideal for drivers seeking flexible ad‑hoc work, covering holiday and sickness requirements, while still enjoying consistent daytime shifts and a professional working environment.

Drivers will be responsible for delivering palletised packs of cement, typically around 19 pallets per load, to various customer sites across the region. All loads are securely palletised, ensuring a clean, straightforward delivery process with minimal manual handling required.

This is a great opportunity for drivers who want to maintain regular driving experience while enjoying the flexibility of ad‑hoc assignments. The client operates a modern fleet and maintains a strong safety‑first culture.

• Monday to Friday
• Optional weekend work during busy periods
• Start time: 07:00
• Finish time: approx. 16:00
• Hours may vary depending on workload and route demands

• Complete pre‑use vehicle and safety checks to DVSA standards
• Safely transport palletised cement products using a Class 1 vehicle
• Follow all site-specific instructions and health & safety guidelines
• Maintain clear and professional communication with the transport office
• Complete all delivery paperwork accurately
• Represent TBC in a professional manner at all times

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
• Previous Class 1 experience desirable
• Reliable and punctual
• Understanding of safe loading, securing pallets, and route safety
• Ability to work flexibly to cover holiday and sickness demands

All drivers must complete a short driving assessment with the client prior to starting.
Assessment will be paid after completion of your first full shift.
