Role: Systems Engineer

Location: Coventry (City Centre) Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

The Role

We're working with a Group IT function offering operational efficiency and high availability across their core infrastructure and systems.

They're running a hybrid estate with a on prem HPE Infrastructure, VMware Clusters tied into growing instances of Azure and MS. Your role will be identifying areas for improvement through pro-active monitoring and delivering continuous improvement across their estate.

From a technical standpoint they're looking for someone who has an understanding of design from the audit phase to collaborate with architects then deliver the deployment piece.

There could be sporadic travel requirements to other sites across the UK - this will be planned with plenty time in advance and maybe once a quarter or less.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experienced in Enterprise Grade On-Prem Infrastructure.
• A Senior Technical Authority who can act as a an escalation point to troubleshoot technical issues.
• VMware Design, Deployment & Management.
• HP Enterprise Technologies - switches, servers, storage.
• Backup & DR Experience - Managing Veeam.
• Cisco & Fortinet Experience are additional benefits.
