We're working with a leading manufacturer based in Newton-Le-Willows, renowned for producing high-quality fire doors and laminated panels. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong woodworking or joinery experience to join a company that values precision, reliability, and craftsmanship.

The Role:
As a Wood Machinist / Door Joiner, you'll be responsible for manufacturing and assembling high-spec doors and panels. You'll be working with various woodworking machinery and hand tools to ensure products meet exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate dimension saws, spindle moulders, and sanding machines

* Use routers, laminate trimmers, and other hand tools to produce accurate joints and finishes

* Work with spray adhesives and laminates on a range of substrates

* Install glazed vision panels and ironmongery to fire doors

* Maintain accurate stock records and ensure a clean, safe working environment

What We're Looking For:

* Strong experience in woodworking, joinery, or door manufacturing

* Confident using both hand tools and machinery

* High attention to detail and quality standards

* Understanding of H&S practices, COSHH, and PPE

* Able to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:
• Experience working with postforming machinery
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or solid surface fabrication
• Use of Makor, Brandt, or Homag machines is a plus

Working Hours:
Monday - Thursday, 06:00 - 16:00
Friday, 06:00 - 15:00 (44 hours per week)
