Structural Technician | Weston-super-Mare

Walker & Sloan is a leading recruitment agency specialising in providing highly skilled professionals to the construction and engineering industries. We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Technician to join our clients team in Weston-super-Mare.

As a Structural Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients in the areas of design and drafting for reinforced concrete (RC) projects. This includes creating detailed drawings and models of RC structures, as well as preparing calculations and specifications for building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Create detailed drawings and models of RC structures using computer-aided design (CAD) software

* Prepare calculations and specifications for RC building projects, including load-bearing capacity, stability, and foundation design

* Collaborate with engineers and other technical professionals to ensure that designs meet all relevant codes and standards

* Attend project meetings and provide technical input as required

* Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with project timelines and budgets

Qualifications:

* A diploma or degree in civil or structural engineering

* At least 2 years of experience working as a Structural Technician, with a focus on RC projects

* Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and other relevant software

* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
