Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a highly regarded all-girls SEMH secondary school in Southampton, rated Outstanding by Ofsted and recognised nationally as a Centre of Excellence.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team within a specialist setting that supports girls aged 11-16 with a range of needs, including:

High anxiety

Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

ADHD

Attachment difficulties and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)

Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)

Learning difficulties and complex needs

The Role:

We are looking to appoint an experienced or aspiring Teaching Assistant to support students across the curriculum. You'll play a vital role in removing barriers to learning, helping pupils to regulate emotions, engage in education, and develop confidence and independence.

This role will involve working one-to-one and in small groups, supporting both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with young people with SEMH, SEND, or in a care/support setting (preferred but not essential)

Calm, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships

Flexible and proactive with a team-first attitude

Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
