The Company:

Eileen Richards Recruitment are pleased to be working with our client, who are a well-established leading training organisation with locations throughout the Midlands.

They are now seeking a driven, forward-thinking Sales Manager for their Nottingham location to start immediately.

Role Responsibilities of the Sales Manager:

* Lead the sales team and ensure all targets are met.

* Create and sustain an overall sales strategy that meets the budget set across all programmes.

* Encourage and train staff in ways to meet their sales targets, as well as develop different sales strategies where required to target employers and learners.

* Revise and redesign all practices and procedures within this role and throughout the company, in a way that will contribute to and ensure continuous improvement and quality.

* Develop the business by increasing occupancy of learner numbers into employed training opportunities in line with board target setting.

* Develop and grow a new business pipeline to meet monthly targets including levy and non-levy businesses, study programme and traineeships in line with the sales strategy.

* Maintain individual sales records and reports ensuring team performance in line with agreed KPI's at all times.

* Identify underperformance and take the appropriate action with staff where necessary including coaching, development, improvement plans and capability action.

* Develop annual sales, marketing, social media campaigns and activity plans which are monitored and updated throughout the year to reflect business needs.

* Manage accounts with Levy employers effectively, ensuring that all opportunities are maximized.

* Manage, support and guide staff including staff development/ training and ensuring they work as a team to provide a cohesive service across all sites to meet the needs of learners.

* Ensure sales paperwork is completed accurately by the Sales team to maintain high quality and full compliance with funding rules.

* Project manage new funding streams, maximising the business needs.

* Ensure occupancy levels of each programme for learners is maximised.

* Assist with the winning of new contracts via bid writing and making a positive contribution towards the organisation's overall bid strategy.

* Establish event plans, working with the department, ensuring evaluations are carried out to influence future attendance and support further events.

* Represent the company at meetings with Employers / ESFA / LEP / Partners / external organisations.

* Maintain own professional competence including keeping up to date with Government, LEP and sector developments and priorities.

* Maintain dialogue with Quality, Finance and Support Services teams to ensure staff adhere to paperwork processes and audit trails monitor staff performance.

About You as the Sales Manager:

* Previous experience / knowledge of the further education sector is advantageous

* A proven track record of meeting sales targets in a B2B environment.

* Experience of leading and motivating a team of Sales Advisors.

* Determination and drive to achieve company targets.

* Self-motivated and able to cope under pressure.

* Excellent communication skills IT skills (conversant with Microsoft Office and social media).

* The ability to present to diverse audiences.

* Driving licence and own transport.
