Pupil Services Manager

We are seeking a Pupil Services Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational management of all pupil services across two secondary school sites. This role ensures the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of various services including Reception, General Administration, Attendance, Admissions, and more. The successful candidate will also manage a delegated budget within pupil services.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Pastoral Services: Line manage Pastoral Assistants to ensure compliance with school expectations and timely production of end-of-day reports.
- Cover Management: Maintain a robust system to manage staff absences, ensuring all teaching and support roles are adequately covered.
- First Aid: Oversee first aid provision, ensuring appropriate training, equipment, and procedures are in place and adhered to.
- Free School Meals: Manage the administration and eligibility verification for Free School Meals in collaboration with the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Medical Healthcare Plans & Immunisations: Coordinate the development and updating of individual healthcare plans for students and organise immunisation programmes with healthcare providers.
- Senior Leadership Team Support: Manage the diary and schedules of the Headteacher and SLT, prepare and circulate agendas and minutes for SLT meetings, ensuring timely communication and follow-up.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing and leading school administrative functions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams across different service areas.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Experience in budget management and financial planning.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Ability to uphold the Academy’s disciplinary rules, staff code of conduct, and statutory frameworks.
