Streamline Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of a well-established timber merchant based in Tilbury.

This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone with a strong background in warehouse or yard supervision who enjoys leading from the front and maintaining high standards across all areas of operation.

Key responsibilities:

* Oversee all day-to-day warehouse and yard operations, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency

* Lead and support a small team, including task allocation, training, and performance monitoring

* Manage the full goods in/goods out process, ensuring timely receipt and dispatch of materials

* Maintain accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and full inventory checks

* Ensure health and safety procedures are followed, promoting a safe working environment and reporting any hazards

* Liaise with transport and office teams to coordinate deliveries, collections, and job scheduling

* Monitor team productivity and warehouse KPIs, reporting against targets and identifying areas for improvement

* Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with company and industry standards

* Provide regular updates to senior management, including reporting on stock levels, team performance, and operational issues

* Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce downtime, and improve overall warehouse performance

Requirements:

* Proven experience in a warehouse or yard supervisory role

* A hands-on and proactive approach to team leadership

* Experience working with timber, building materials or similar would be an advantage

* Strong organisational and communication skills

* Comfortable using basic IT systems for reporting and stock management

* Valid Counterbalance FLT licence is essential
