We are delighted to be partnering with a large, well-established organisation as they look to appoint an experienced HR Advisor within their People & Change team for a 3 month temporary position. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HR professional to deliver high-quality, customer-focused people support across a dedicated directorate, influencing key decisions and helping to shape a positive colleague experience.
In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to leaders, offering pragmatic guidance across a wide range of generalist HR activity, from employee relations and wellbeing to resourcing, organisational change, and people development. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied workload, values strong stakeholder relationships, and feels confident navigating complex people matters.
The Role
As HR Advisor, you will:
- Deliver a customer-centric advisory service across your designated directorate, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
- Support managers with all aspects of employee relations, including absence, performance management, disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Provide coaching and guidance to help leaders identify talent, address underperformance and implement effective development or improvement plans.
- Advise on resourcing needs, structural changes and end-to-end recruitment processes.
- Contribute to directorate-specific projects, change initiatives and working groups.
- Produce timely and accurate people metrics and reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with managers, colleagues, partners and trade union representatives, establishing credibility and trust.
- Work closely with People Services to ensure a seamless and consistent customer experience.
- Support the People Business Partner and contribute to a high-performing, delivery-focused People function.
- Proactively maintain your own professional development while supporting others in theirs.
What We are Looking For:
- CIPD-qualified professional
- Significant generalist experience within a large, complex organisation
- Strong background partnering with managers, ideally up to director level
- Experience delivering or supporting organisational change
- Confident working with Microsoft Office and HR systems
- Ability to build strong relationships and manage sensitive, complex issues
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Degree in HR or Business
- Experience working in a trade union-recognised environment
- Exposure to blue-collar or operational industries
