Working alongside one of our partner schools, we are excited to bring the opportunity for you to gain a role as an academic mentor this year. The role is an exciting one which will involve a variety of daily activities and will enable you to support a range of students throughout their studies. An academic mentor is an integral part in helping encourage pupil progress and participation throughout the year as well as reducing barriers to learning.
The successful applicant will need to have an understanding of working with young people in some capacity and although school-based experience is preferred, it is not essential. The role of an academic mentor will need applicants to be able to build rapport with students and be an effective communicator with the ability to convey messages to students.
