Spencer Clarke Group are working alongside a Local Authority in South England to assist with the appointment of several SEN Case Officers.
The role is on a full-time 6-month agency contract with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis.
We would like to speak to SEN professionals who have previously worked as a Case Officers in a local authority setting and have fulfilled all the statutory assessment duties that this role comes with.
Location - Remote Working
Pay Scale - Starting from £200 - £250 per day - Negotiable depending on experience.
To be responsible for all aspects SEN casework, for children and young people aged 0 to 13yrs, working with the SEN Casework Team across the Local Authority and those children placed out of county.
Duties include but not restricted to:
- Manage and process, under the direction of the responsible Senior school age SEN Officer, statutory casework within legal and internal timelines for a defined geographical area
- Prepare and present cases on behalf of the Local Authority for SENDIST
- Monitor the progress of children and young people with EHC plans including amending EHC plans in the light of Annual Reviews. Attending Annual Reviews as appropriate. Supporting and coordinating Transfer reviews
- Participate in the Local Authority's systems for monitoring and quality assurance for children and young people with SEN
